The Godavari Initiative is a collective aimed at the sustainable management of the Godavari River Basin in Maharashtra. This initiative fosters partnerships between corporates, government, and civil society to tackle critical challenges in river basin health through benefit sharing, stakeholder engagement, and practical learning.

On a global scale, 100 river basins have been identified as critical priorities for water stewardship, representing regions with immense potential for collective action. Notably, eight of these key basins are in India, with the Godavari River basin standing as a central focus of our efforts under TGI. The goal is to create a robust platform for collective action and sustainable solutions in river basin management.
